I don't celebrate Halloween, so I say I dress up as myself on Oct. 31 (as most narcissists do.)

However, I would like to dress up as my namesake someday. My English name is Cornelius, which is after the centurion who met Peter and was the first gentile convert (Acts 10). My birthday is soon-ish, so maybe my present can be a Roman soldier costume.

I know that it may be absurd to some people to see their next-door neighbour in a skirt so he can be Julius Caesar, but at least Roman soldiers are masculine.

And, furthermore, why don't people dress up as their namesakes occsionally? Even though King Louis XIV wasn't named after a Roman general, he enjoyed posing as one in portraits.

Didn't you post the exact same thing here months ago? And why on earth would you randomly dress as one of your ancestors?
