And if you use an eye cream under your eyes, no matter what you do if those bottom lashes touch your skin the mascara will melt. I would powder under your eyes to prevent that.

The only drugstore mascara I like is the wateproof Maybelline Full 'N Soft. It doesn't clump or run and the wand is actually quite good, full with a lot of tiny bristles. Another suggestion is to use a lash primer. I'm currently using Cliniques, it was around $15. None of my mascaras smudge or transfer when I use it.

I'm a huge mascara fiend and I've tried many different brands. I couldn't stand Great Lash, I really don't know why it's so popular as it did nothing for me. Thank goodness it was so cheap because one application and I threw it out. Awful brush tiny brush and didn't lengthen my lashes at all.

For your price range, I would suggest Loreal Telescopic. I love the brush, it really lengthens and separates the eyelashes, which I love. If you are willing to spend more money ($20 - 25 or so), Lancome Defincials is also really good.

I wear mineral makeup but I'm kinda oily so maybe that doesn't help.

I ordered some BAD Gal today and we'll see how it does. I do want to try some of the others mentioned, tho.

And if you can't do powder go with clear mascara as a quickie. Melting wont matter.

It really brightens up the eye area to use just touch of Vaseline on and under the lashline (not waterline) right where that natural crease area is under the eye under the iris. Just like when you highlight the cupid's bow on your lips, you want max shine in the center and then just pat it out and do you makeup as usual. Water based products do not mesh well with Vaseline always, but oil/cream and mineral work well.
You may or may not wish to layer a clear mascara over it to make the lashes a bit darker as if they were wet.

I just bought this one and was very impressed. Almost as good as Bad Girl. Better than the Clinique.

I've used Loreal in the Gold Case with a red band on it for years and I always use the Blackest Black I can find.

As far as drugstore brands go, I like Loreal Voluminous as well. A friend raves about Lash Stiletto, but I thought it was really clumpy.

That's Lash Out -- and I hate to tell you.... I don't think they are making it anymore.
