In a moment of curiosity, I posted a photo of myself on another site and asked for opinions on my looks. I chose a photo in which I was wearing glasses (these glasses, actually) because I thought it was a good shot of my face.
I used to have those in pink! :P
Now I am wearing this shape in something like a wood grain look.
When I wear glasses, people think my eyes are small (I am nearsighted so the glasses cause them to appear smaller). In high school for me, it was much much worse My glasses were thick and heavy and left marks under my eyes -- the technology wasn't available to make them light and thin in my price point. Now I still pay quite a lot just to get a pair that isn't too thick.
Even though my frames are pretty "hip" it doesn't have an impact.
Of course, it's all subjective to the overall appearance and certainly not limited to the glasses per se, but glasses definitely enhance attraction, to me.
I don't mind glasses on women in most cases, as long as they made sure to get a good frame and color for their face. In some cases they can look really good. And then there's those dirty hipsters; with fat plastic frames that are huge on their face. Those look ridiculous. And now some are wearing them without any lenses on them. Tacky.
I wouldn't be able to tell if a guy noticed me more if I weren't wearing glasses since I can't see beyond my nose without them.
Have worn glasses since I was 12 so they're just a part of my life and if a guy is turned off because I wear glasses, then he's not anyone I'd want to waste my time with anyway.

Aren't really an important thing for me at all. I don't have a fetish for them, they don't always make someone look smarter, but am not hugely bothered by them as long as they're not too far out.
Of course I wear glasses myself so that changes things. I've been told that I'd look better/have more success with the ladies if I ditched my glasses. I tried contacts briefly but it was just too much hassle (I wore the daily ones) and I'd often end up with red eyes. Not having to wear glasses would have it's advantages, for sure, and one day I might get laser surgery when it becomes less risky, but for now, it's not something I put a lot of priority on. In fact, a girl who simply wouldn't be seen dead wearing glasses/was that shallow would probably be more of a turn-off for me. Not that I don't like girls wearing contacts, just the attitude of not being able to wear glasses at all.

I just got new glasses that have that shape. Well my last glasses had that shape too. I got these ones to be exact:
I definitely don't have a problem with them (and I wear glasses myself). I see plenty of women wearing glasses who look great in them, although those same women would probably look great without them, too. I don't really think they necessarily make a woman more attractive to me, but I don't think they take anything away, either. And they can add a point of interest to her outfit.
I wonder if wearing glasses doesn't send some sort of signal, sort of an anti-peacocking symbol like sweatpants. It's not that they're unattractive, they just send this message "I'm not trying to be visually appealing right now so I'm not looking to attract attention."
Really? Mine send this message: "I'd rather not bump into walls right now, so I'm wearing these helpful aids."
