It never really occurred to me until today when my friend casually mentioned getting her arms waxed. I expressed curiosity about it and she looked at me with disgust and asked, "You mean, you DON'T shave your arms?"
Is this a common thing? I shave other areas of my body, but never thought it was normal to get rid of arm hair. Is it considered "uncouth" for women to have hair on their arms? Not that there's anything wrong with not shaving anything, I'm just wondering how common this is, or if it's a new thing?
There's no societal expectation of this, as there generally is with shaving legs and underarms. Some women shave their arms if they're very hairy. But plenty don't. The choice is yours.
I don't even shave what I'm "supposed" to shave most of the time. Plus, my arms aren't even hairy. Maybe your friend is furry though.
LOL ^^^ I hear you, I am the same way, I don't shave what I am supposed to half the time. Good grief why don't we just get our whole damn body waxed? It seems like there are more and more places that women are expected to keep shaven.
Hello..I am 42 and my oldest 2 kids are 21 and 20 and they shave their arms..they are very up-to-date on trends or whats cool..I think they have shaved their arms for YEARS..
OY. IMO this completely hairless fad is too extreme. I don't have much hair anyway but all I ever shave is my armpits and shins/calves - sometimes a little bikini area grooming. Never waxed anything and don't intend to - I have used nair but not in years.
