Do men and women in both places have similar qualifications on what they find attractive (physical features wise) on their mate?

Here in America generally the beauty standard is Blonde females and Caucasian males with dark hair (Pierce Brosnan for example).

Beauty standard in US is changing I think. Yes many women color their hairs blonde, but girls looking like Kim Kardashian (dark hair, tan olive skin) is becoming extremely popular. So there's no more general beauty standard for females.

I think Americans tend to appreciate an artificial look (heavy make-up, deep tanning, bleaching, extensions, plastic surgery, etc) more than Western Europeans do.

I spent 2 months in Europe this year. I went two 11 different countries. It was obvious being overweight there is not acceptable whatsoever. Nor is wearing baggy clothes. They like slim fit / athletic fit clothing. Most of the men were pretty thin, not muscular at all. I tried buying clothes over there and I really couldn't since my shoulders since slim fit Larges over there aren't the same as here.

Pretty, beautiful, cute...it's universe. Preferences are personal opinion but beauty really isn't. I find Jessica Biel extremely pretty and I'm sure some don't find her extremely pretty. However, I can't see anyone saying she's ugly.

yea it really depends on who you ask and what their demographic is. But here in America it's no secret that based on the media, the standard of beauty is what you see on 99% of all television shows.
