How about these great-looking ladies? Are they average enough for you?

Have you heard the saying "beauty is only skin deep but ugly goes right to the bone"?
In other words, ugly is what shines out from the inside by a person's attitude.

Some people may appear (or believe themselves to be) attractive, but as soon as they open their mouth (or type) their ugliness shines through.

What amazes me is that some younger people actually think that older women CARE whether or not younger people think they're attractive or well dressed.

News flash - we don't dress to please you. We dress to please ourselves.

OP, I loved the pictures. Haven't looked through all of the pages. My favorite so far is of the 100 year old woman. I "smiled out loud" !!!

Nowadays and any day really, but more now than any other time in the world, you are only as old as you think you are. Forty is the new twenty...yada yada.

As for the recent pics, honestly, I suspect that if those women saw how they looked, from head to toe, they would never wear those outfits again! My female elderly relatives would never have dreamed of wearing such costumes. The white dress - oh my goodness, what a disaster.

I think the older women in the photos are having a blast - and probably don't give a rat's arse what other people think about them.

The one in the embroidered white dress is the one I particularly like. That dress is ageless --- it would look perfectly good on a 25 year old and I think looks refreshingly interesting and pretty on the older woman.

I'm beginning to think that a vivid lipstick is one of the best things an older woman can do to brighten up her face.

Here is actresss Isabelle Huppert (59) with a bright lipstick:

and with a more muted lip color:

She has more verve in the first picture.

Isabella Rosselini , 60, with a muted lip color:

Of course she's also wearing black right by her face which I don't think is flattering on a lot of people. However Isabelle Huppert above is able to wear back by her face and the red lipstick lets her get away with it.

Isabella with bright lips:

What do you think?

She's not an older woman, but I think even Gwen Stefani, who has pale coloring, looks better with her trademark bright red lips than she does with a neutral lip color.

I wonder how Gwen keeps her roots so blonde, you would think the hair would start to break off.....and I'm not being catty--I'd actually like to know. I had platinum hair for about 10 years and roots are always a problem..

Ok, I found one older woman who I think looks better with paler lips, Susan Sarandon (66) ....

Whereas, Sharon Stone , 54, looks good with colorful or more neutral lips !
