I'm not sure I like the addition of 1 to 2 percent Spandex to jeans. They seem to stretch out while wearing. But it's so hard to find them without the Spandex.
Yesterday I tried on Levis jeans that seem to fit well and are comfortable. But here's the rub: they are only 84% cotton! 2% Elastecene. And the remainder? You guessed it! 14% Polyester!
I grew up in the days when American jeans were 100% cotton. The thought of polyester in jeans isn't appealing. I think manufacturers are doing it because cotton prices went up.
So---do I hold out for jeans with more cotton? Is there such a thing? Or should I try these? Anyone have any experience with these? (Levis 512 bootcut perfectly slimming)
