Why? Having second thoughts of putting those stains all over your body?

You're Mexican and gay according to your about me. We're not questioning you about your sexual orientation , making racial comments,or judging you the way you're making judgmental comments about tattoos. But I wouldn't expect much class or culture out of someone from San Antonio anyway.

Kind of like how sentences like this make you come of as even "more stupider" [sic] than you already do?

I'd worry less about the choices others make with their appearances, and more about how your grasp of the English language (or, more appropriately, lack thereof) make you appear. Just a suggestion.

Went to a wedding and all the the bridesmaids had more ink on them than the groomsmen. THey'll regret it when they're 55.

What is the appeal in getting these? Are they permanent or can they be removed?
Some people think they can be removed... which is true, though it is very expensive, very painful, and takes a long time.

People who get tattoos get them because they do not believe they are beautiful works of God's creation for whom a tattoo would be as defacing as graffiti on the Mona Lisa.

Oh, they have other reasons... but regardless of reason, nobody would get one if they believed that a tattoo on their body would be like graffiti on the Mona Lisa.

"Could someone please explain to me why people get tattoos?"

sure... as soon as you explain why you care what other people do with their own bodies.

They get tattoos to make it easier to weed out people like you from interaction/relationships-- that is to say people who immediately judge others to be "trash" based on a physical characteristic and no other evidence. They get them because its their body and they can do whatever they want with it.

Because humans are herdlike animals. They do what everyone else does even if (like getting tattooed) it makes them uglier in the process.

Well, people get a tattoo not because its a need but it's just their want to be "in" in today's new craze in town. A lot of people especially teenagers want to get a tattoo, there is permanent and semi-permanent ones.
