Ladies, out of curiosity, what do you find to be the best foundation garments (please don't say Spanx)?

I have a Maidenform tank. It's cut high in the back and low under the breasts. (You wear your own bra with it.) I don't wear it all the time -- only if I'm wearing a close-fitting shirt and I want a particularly smooth look. Nice benefit is that it lifts the girls up, too.

I like these. I have one in both colors. Firm control, but comfortable.

Is that corset-style boning, or just an illusion?

Corset-style boning is correct. It does the job!

I bought a Jennifer Lopez toursette from Kohls. I haven't tried it yet, but it was the first one I found that fit OK. It is also pretty cute!

It isn't online, but the shapewear seems to be pretty good, and at least goes on clearance.

I also bought this one on super clearance at Nordstrom Rack for like $10. Works pretty well.

Skinnygirlshapers.com

I am too busty for anything with built in cups. The lingerie makers with my size haven't expanded to shapewear unfortunately. And I have a super short torso. Makes things difficult. I definitely have the "ride up" and roll down problem.

Happy shopping!

I find Janira is really good! They are Spanish company but they recently started selling to the USA; they've been in Canada for a while now. Around the same price point as Spanx but the shaping is better. Moderator cut: need at least 10 other posts to make specific recommendations
