I used to have acrylics all the time, ruining my already weak nails even more....huh.
I had to take them off, because I had a job position transfer to a new store, and I am a meatcutter.
So, I guess I don't have to say more....lol?
Maybe down the line I will give the gels a try.....
BTW...always pink and white, sometimes with a glitter line between the pink and white, and my toes are painted.....ALWAYS!
I don't know about you guys...but, if my toes are not painted, I feel they look so ugly and "naked"....grrrrrrrrr.....

I wished I could have long nails! Mine are very short because of working in
the kitchen with food and wearing the plastic gloves. I always compliment
the waitress's on their nails, so pretty. :-)

I had to laugh because I'm actually glad that people who work with food are keeping their nails short! I'm sure its more comfortable for you and sanitary for everyone but I remember seeing a woman at the salon getting some serious TALONS (it freaked me out). They had to be at least 3 full inches and they were slightly curved. I hated to think of it, but my first thought was how does she take care of business and manage to keep those claws clean?!?!

*and by business I mean bathroom business

Smile Funny stuff

Relief has come ! I finally got rid of the red nails and I am safely back to the Permanent French Pink & White Gels. They look so good. Just perfect- Not too long, not too short. Even got the French Pedicure. The new nail shop I found, The Nail Lounge in NJ , was so nice. I could understand every word they said !!

My nail guy even suggested I Google the words "Nail salon" and find this hysterically funny Video !! I wanted to share the laughs with all of you!
Enjoy !!

I used to always keep my nails polished, red most of the time, but since 2000 I have had solor nails and will never go back, it's great, I go in for refills every three weeks, no more waiting for polish to dry.

I usually have them short. They break if I have it long.
I think acrylic and it ruins the nails.

i keep polish on the nails all the time as i think it helps keep my nails from breaking. if i don't wear polish they break faster.

I just got a full set today (white tips and gels)- I'm trying the gels for the first time and so far I'm really happy with them. As far as wear and tear goes- only time will tell but I love the shine and they look crystal clear all the way through. Its a much faster process than acrylics so I'm also happy that I was in and out of there quicker than usual.
