My 10 year old daughter has a lot of facial hair as well as lots of hair on the arms and legs. She isn't very concerned now. But in a couple of years, it's going to come up. Are there any safe, home -remedies that actually, really work to reduce or remove hair. I don't mind if the process is slow, but it needs to be effective and safe. Thank you.

I don't know about home remedies, but I know from threading.
here in my neck of the woods, I see many, many, young Indian girls threading at an early age 9-10.

it is painful, but so worth the pain. it is very inexpensive if you go to an Indian owned
And not a salon or mall threading place.
good luck.

So I find that eyebrow threading hurts too much for me. But lip threading isn't so bad.

I would take her to the doctor. There are some prescription cremes that could help her and the hair could be a sign of a hormonal unbalance, particularly if it's not hereditary. Most of my friends that were from heritages where body hair is plentiful got electrolysis starting at a pretty young age.

I have a hairy daughter. This is what we use:

Tweezers, for face. Show her how to shape her eyebrows if she needs it.

Nair, for arms. This seems to be only necessary once every three or four months.

Razor, for legs and underarms. I never tell her anything about hairy legs, but if she wants to wear a sleeveless top or dress, I will tell her she has to shave her pits or wear a shrug.

Scissors with blunt ends, for trimming other hair that bothers her.

Default How To Naturally Slow Unwanted Hair Growth

Quote:
Eat more soy to prevent unwanted hair from growing back quickly. Soy is rich in phytoestrogen, which works just like estrogen. Since it is testosterone that causes hair growth, estrogen, its opposite can combat or neutralize it. Takin soy, which has enzymes that work just like estrogen, will inhibit the testosterone in your body, making your unwanted hair grow back more slowly.
