I've only posted on CD for a short period of time and I read a lot of dumb stuff on this forum. Such as the above bold remarks. It's a simple YES or NO question.

You like it or not.

Then it's a nice jacket ( are you thinking whether it's worth whatever they are asking for it?)

Yes. NF is on the high as far as coats but they are worth the money. My decision is based on quality and durability not how "stylish" it is.

But ultimately, our opinion does not matter.
If you like it, buy it.
If you don't, don't.

Umm, you are in the fashion and beauty forum so of course our opinions will be based on style over function, so Johnny maybe you need to....

You asked "do I like your coat?" I don't. It is just a regular jacket. Virtually impossible to like or dislike.

That doesn't mean it won't do its job as a coat. You didn't mention what sort of climate you live in, your objectives for your coat........ Or which model of coat this is so we can evaluate it vs your needs.

So if you titled your thread "is this a good coat for me to commute in this winter, in downtown <insert your city here>," you might have received different answers.

Yeah, I vaguely remember that they are pricey, ( same price range as Columbia jackets or less?)
But how do they compare to Columbia's quality?

How is it dumb to tell you that if you venture out into the Boston suburbs roughly 75% of the guys will be wearing this exact jacket? That's actually pretty helpful information. What's dumb is to ask for opinions on a fashion forum and then get annoyed when you get (a) opinions and (b) they are based in fashion.
