I hate purses. The closest I get is a small cross-body bag. I also have some wallet-sized cross body bags. If I need to carry a lot of stuff, then I use a backpack (not the rugged, hiking kind, but something smaller and more purse-like). I need my hands free, and get neck pain from too much weight on one shoulder.

I use purses most of time, however I have days where I just use pouches or wristlets if I don't want/need to take a lot with me.

Don't think I've ever used a purse regularly.
In school, I had a backpack or carrier bag (over-the-shoulder, very sturdy/utilitarian).
For awhile after those items wore out, I relied solely on roomy jacket pockets.
Now I use a tote bag, within which I have yet another (smaller) bag, one of those reusable thin cloth bags from a local business, which sequesters my wallet & keys from whatever I might be hauling in the rest of the tote bag (folders, mail, etc.). For me, in this area, practicality/functionality trumps fashion completely.

I on the other hand love purses...I have quite a collection. I change purses almost as much as I change outfits. One can never have to many purses....

Depends on where I am going. If I am going out to a club, no purse. Out shopping smallish purse. For work big huge bag for everything.

I've been carrying a waist bag for so long, that I feel more comfortable with it. Recently, I did go back to a purse for a special event, but it kept falling off of my shoulder. Then when I had to transfer all out of it to my waist bag, I forgot my license and insurance card, so I've been driving without for the last couple of days....and thank goodness nothing happened that I needed them for~!

It depends on where I am going. If I am out on a regular day going to work, the grocery store and running other errands I will carry a purse. I usually were cross body ones as I hate purses that fall off your shoulder and I hate holding things. If I am going out at night for dinner or to a bar, if I don't have pockets I carry a small wristlet that is big enough for my cell phone, if I have pockets then I will only carry a few cards (ID, Debit, Credit) and my cell phone. In general though I really hate carrying stuff.

Like a mini clutch, with a wristband.
