Do any of you ladies wear purses, or have you given them up for something else~?

I usually walk around with my school tote, but I do like crossbodies. I used to wear the big satchels and totes, but they get so heavy even when there's barely anything in them.

I tend to stick to messenger bags unless it's a special occasion. On special occasions, I use a clutch.

I've been wearing a waist sack for quite a while, is that odd~? Since my vacation earlier in the year, it was easier and felt safer when I was traveling not to carry a purse.

I carry a wallet from Big Skinny, and a cell phone in my pockets.

Never been happier.

I used to carry a purse and still do when attending a dressy affair. But for everyday, I carry my dr. card and a bit of cash in a pocket; cell phone in another pocket.

A rash of purse-snatchings targeting elderly women made me rethink the purse thing. When I'm shopping at several stores, I may carry a wallet (also in the pocket) with charge cards.

It's a shame because I do love attractive purses; just found out that I don't need to carry my entire file cabinet everywhere I go.

OMT: When on vaca, I use a waist sack, aka fanny-pack (although I've never actually seen one worn on "the fanny"). Too warm for a garment with a lot of pocket room and I need hands-free to eat Boardwalk food.

Purses are definitely one of my best fashion accessories. High-end, low-end, neutral colors, hot pink, electric blue, small, roomy, clutch - I love them all!!!

My mom uses her bra as a purse... Money, keys, cards, phone, etc. There's barely enough room for the breast. So embarrassing.

I prefer medium sized totes/shopper but I dislike the recent trend of totes with the shoulder straps. I know the straps can be removed; just don't like the idea of it.

Since my adventures to Florida, I thought it would be safer to travel with a waist sack since I needed both my arms for luggage at the airport. Plus, I have much to take with me to the beach that it is easier not to handle a purse. Habits got into a long term use and it's hard to break habits, I guess.
