Cold sores is a medical condition; if someone thinks cold sores are trashy, they probably think people with down syndrome are trashy. That's the way I see it. It's like seeing a teenager, and saying their acne breakout is trashy.

I have a son with Down syndrome and although I have a heard some remarks, never that he was trashy. Down syndrome is a genetic disorder and cold sores are not which is a very big difference. Down syndrome cannot be contracted from another individual. It is unfortunate that so many have contracted herpes, especially children. Cleavage can come across as "trashy" but that depends on what exactly is being done with that cleavage as well as the rest of the package being presented.
