I just looked it up. It's called the Monroe piercing with a diamond stud. I thought it was a sticker when I first saw it.

Why is piercing your lip, nose, dimple, etc any different than piercing your ear?

I don't see ear piercings called trashy

You have to be very careful on placement because the stud can erode your gums.

I've met plenty of women that pull it off quite well, and I don't get the 'trashy' statements.

Go to a piercing/tattoo parlor and ask to see the piercers work. All the good ones take pictures and keep a portfolio of their work.
