My timex is like this one, the face is very clear. I must admit I do own a gold watch that was passed to me from my grandmother, its 18K gold, the face is tiny and I don't even know the last time I wound it up to see if it even works. Its worth far too much to me sentimentally and also in price to wear so really its just a keepsake.

I thought I was the only one who did this . I haven't worn a watch in 6 years; it's very liberating.

Yes. El-cheapo $20.00 Timex. It does the job. I tend to break expensive watches and sunglasses.

I keep simple and relatively cheap:

1) Stauer 1930 Dashtronic

2) Seiko 5, model SNK797

I dont even own a watch right now but I do like a nice stainless diver or chronograph. I lusted after an Omega Speedmaster for a long time but frankly thought it too expensive to justify given my limited wearing opportunities. Perhaps someday.

I did have an Invicta 9943 (submariner knockoff) for a bit and I did enjoy wearing it. Sold it to theoretically upgrade to something better but never did. Kind of wish I still had it.

Digital watch is okay. But when you also wear a polo-style shirt tucked into jeans, it's a little too much. I don't know if "nerdy" is the appropriate word, but it's too much of that all at once with that overall combination. The effect is overpowering and oppressive.

The (1) watch, or, the (2) shirt tucked into jeans. But never both at the same time.
