Because they're adults?

Fashion like that obviously isn't meant to be worn, it's about art. Like any form of art, it's supposed to make you think about what it means and how it makes you feel. And, sure, one of those feelings could be humor but from those pictures I would think it evokes more a feeling of despair and isolation.

It's just a platform for arty-farty people to put on self-congratulatory wankfests for each other.

Lol just joking.

I do appreciate the creative side of it, but like UE says these generally aren't clothes for the average Joe or Jill.

$$$

It's their job to be there and watch, nod and clap. Besides 90% of those clothes aren't for the everyday 9-5 size 14 woman.

It's silly until you need a designer to come up with a thousand costumes for your silly space fantasy movie that don't look like they came out of a wardrobe truck.

They are laughing themselves to the bank. I always thought Tyra Banks was odd. A weirdo. And that's coming from another artist.

But look where she is? Banks is what she is making.

Default very laughable

I wish a person would wear this stuff outside of the runway. But I guess they see it as "moving" art or something of the other.

Well part of the audience are people at work so they are concentrating on buying, writing, being seen and photography. The audience if you ever notice shoots that capture reactions have varied emotional displays. You see a lot of clapping and giggling. Its suppose to be fun and different. You can react however you want within reason. You wouldn't act like a musical out in everyday life. That would be fun but not exactly the most sane thing to do...lol. Fashion shows are the same thing. The musical for the eyes.
