A good pair of Sperry-Topsiders.

Leave the "gym shoes" at the gym. Dress like a man.

It's all perspective. Sperry's remind me of dress shoes I wore as a kid when my parents made me go to church. Some guys like them, but I don't. I don't like when people make sweeping statements like "dress like a man" when all you really mean is "dress like I like to dress." There is nothing wrong with loafers or sperry top-siders in general (just because I personally don't like doesn't mean I'm condemning them; they just are not my style) but there isn't anything wrong with athletic-style shoes or chucks or something either. It completely depends on your style of dress in general.

These are what I wear most of the time with jeans. They are getting old, so I need an upgrade.

Boat shoes (Docksiders) or sneakers (Nike running shoes. I wear them for effect, I don't run). 58.

I have a thing for Puma shoes.

Besides work boots and the occasional Vans shoe, its always a Puma.

I usually wear retro suede sneakers with jeans. I have Puma Suedes in a few different colors. I love them for walking around, and they don't look like standard athletic shoes. But they're very comfortable.

Puma is my favorite. All my casual sneakers now are Puma. It's funny that I didn't own a pair of Pumas for close to 20 years, and now I have several pairs.

Puma makes a lot of very nice "chic" sneakers. The majority of my sneakers are Puma, other than the new Saucony pair I posted early
