So I have been trying to accessorize more. I have a signature style for earrings. Some great everyday bracelets. But I was missing an everyday necklace to round out my collection.

I have some pearls. But these are too dressy. I had a contender, but it was too short.

I decided to head over to a local shop that makes jewelry and sells other mostly local pieces.

The shop goes for a sort of simple modern look. Sometimes it is a little plain for me. Other times it is perfect.

Well I spent a while browsing and I found a winner. (Pics coming)

Do you have signature jewelry? What do you wear?

**it's my name! A little silly but still pretty subtle.

Cute idea for a thread!

Yes, I have a signature piece. In fact, every day I wear my diamond stud earrings and my necklace which is a silver reale from 1787 on a 17" silver chain. The coin looks like this:

I have an ancestor who sailed on the Endeavor with Captain Cooke around that time, so I always like to think that he held coins exactly like this in his hand. It makes me feel connected with my ancestors who sailed the high seas during the era of the tall ships!

I have favorite pieces of jewelry, but it would bore me to tears to wear the same jewelry every day. Never have understood why anyone would do that? Boring! I match my jewelry to my clothes.

I wear jewelry that fits my mood. For Christmas my son got a 17 inch necklace with little silver and gold tags . One is a heart. They say love, peace and believe.
I also wear a 20 inch diamond cross.

I don't wear much jewelry, but I tend to favor delicate silver charm. My favorites are an Aztec calendar charm I got in Mexico

And a Tiffany's letter charm

Tiffany & Co. | Item | Elsa Peretti® letter pendant. Sterling silver, small. Letters A-Z available. | United States

Well, let me break it down for you.

First of all, I don't wear the same jewelry EVERY SINGLE DAY. I do wear my silver coin necklace and my diamond stud earrings MOST days though.

I am lucky enough not to have to work outside the home, so most days I am dressed casually - jeans, a sweater, workout clothes, that sort of thing. Why would I change my jewelry up all the time?

Of course when I'm dressing up, or even going to play somewhere, I may change my jewelry - I probably will. But to go to yoga, or the grocery store, or antique shopping? Nyahhhh...

I have a small peridot pendant that belonged to my mother and it was her and my birthstone. I wear that a lot and I wear the matching ring all the time. I save diamonds for night time or very special occasions.

My good pieces are all inherited and I take alot of pride in them. I do match my jewelry with my clothes to the extent that it is usually all sterling or gold. The first bangle bracelet that my hub gave me can no longer be removed from my wrist because it is so bent so that is worn day and night 365.
