It all really just depends on the shape of the woman who wears them. If you have a great backside then you can get away with wearing any of them. If you DO NOT have a nice backside, you better stay away from wearing any of them. My wife, who is a ballroom dancer (think combo of Edyta Slewenska and Karina Smirnoff from Dancing With The Stars) has one of the best bootys I have EVER seen and she prefers the cheeky cut swimsuits but ALL of her underwear are of the thong variety.
Again, it looks good ONLY on someone who looks good. Dont want to see Adele or the big chick from the Bridesmaids movie walking on the beach wearing any of these.
I had to look up the difference between the cuts before saying what I prefer.
When I went to Cancún, Meixco. For spring break of 11.... It was more common to see Cheeky bottom then anything else. Needless to say; I was still in the right place . But, it seems that most of the girls I talked to about The thong-cut they'd say No; it was pretty rare to see any girl wear it as well as pull it off at the same time. A lot of girls in brazilian cut bottom as well but the most commonly seen was the Cheeky bottoms.

Yeah, Im just a few minutes away from Malibu and most of what I see women wearing are the cheeky bottoms. Of course, there is a fair share of thongs and Brazil cut, but if I were to count, it would definitely be more cheeky bottom than anything else.
I prefer cheeky bottoms on myself but my favorite in general is brazilian. I'd have to do a lot of squats before putting myself in one of those, I have a nice butt but it's not toned enough for a brazilian yet!
