Woman Sets New Record For World's Largest Hips (VIDEO, PICTURES)

Quote:
Ruffinelli says that her figure is down to genetics, rather than diet. It's also down to having four kids. "With every child, came more hips," she explains. "I've got a little wider with each child."
Crazy how varied the human body can be, but I bet it's a literal pain in the butt to sit in chairs, cars, airplanes, etc.

Wow, that seems very inconvenient. I bet she has a WHR of .4...or even less.

My hips got smaller after my 3rd. Go figure.

And although she claims its all genetics, I have to wonder what her diet is like.

She is probably predisposed to be being "hippy" but she did gain ~240 pounds after kids. 60 pounds per kid basically.

I don't think she did anything intentional, to put on the bulk of her pregnancy weight below the waist.

She might have a record setting FUPA too... those stretchy pants don't leave a whole lot to the imagination.

I just watched the video. Loved her quote at the end.

"I'd rather be this size, and be happy with me, than being skinny and unhappy with me."

Edit this a bit, and I think you do have a great message. I think for many people, they think happiness will come when they look a certain way, weigh a certain amount or have a certain shape. Happiness does come from within, and you need to find it first. There are way too many stories about people who have made tremendous physical transformations, but still struggle with confidence, self-image and self-esteem.

Yes but these are not the only two options. She could be average sized and happy. Or skinny and happy. Or morbidly obese and miserable. And many many other combinations. I think its a terrible message.

I think acceptance of one's own body is a good thing, but she just didn't word it correctly.
