The shirts you are talking about are more hipster. If you aren't a hipster then you will hate it. In fact, you'll hate most of what hipsters will like.
If that's hipster, then hipsters have no sense of style. Style is something that is timeless and will not look dated and out of style in a few years.

The shirts that Bobby Brady wore, and that characterize your 1970s look, we're made by a company called Hang Ten, and their logo consisted of two little feet. The company still exists, but they have discontinued the 1970s style. They were actually of very good quality, not low-end like Old Navy.

those 70's styled striped tees (and ringer shirts too) have made a comeback for surfwear/skatewear and now mainstream clothiers that cater to college kiddies have caught on. You see them a lot at Urban Outfitters and Karmaloop, so it's popular with both "hipsters" and streetwear fanatics. Tie-dye is hot again too... Millenials are craving loud throwback styles to separate themselves from 30-somethings who still dress in 90's band tees, ironic graphic shirts or overpriced A&F gear from the 20th century.

These "styles" have been around long before th 90s. They have been here as long as there have knit t-shirts. It's a look that will never die. People like to look at, and wear, patterns that please. It doesn't matter if some others don't think they are "stylish"

I wore a lot of Hang Ten stuff in the early 80s. Lots of pale aqua, pink, yellow and orange prints.

Stylin'!

Yeah, I've seen it. Very hipster. I don't care for the look too much but whatever. I'm sure many people don't like what I'm wearing either. As long as I'm not looking at someone undies or crack, as long as it's clean, I'm pretty ok with it. I may laugh a little inside but....

Exactly. Business casual just means you don't have to wear a tie.
