Basically, which do you think is a bigger obstacle to one's being seen as attractive: being a short man, or a fat woman?

Fat, by far, and unhealthy to boot. The fat IS fixable, and that reflects badly on the person, male or female.

Fat woman for sure. As the poster above says - its fixable, so luckily, those who suffer from that horrible plight can fix it Short man cant fix his shortness.

I think fat women are more apt to be publicly humiliated and shamed. I don't see or hear nearly as many people going out of their way to make fun of short men as I do fat women.

As for an impediment, I think being a fat woman is worse. Even when you do lose the weight if your skin doesn't bounce back and you have stretch marks you're still unattractive. So, you lost the weight and it really doesn't matter. I'd take being a short man over a fat woman any day.

Put some numbers to this. Are we talking 5'7" or 5'8"? How much weight? I think 5'7"-5'8" wins a by a long shot, but something like 5'4" would lose.

5'8'' is short, I would have thought that was average.

I think average is 5'10" in America at least.

So you think the one that can improve is the bigger impediment? This makes no sense. Until they come up with Miraclegro for the garden gnomes and not just the Azaleas I hardly see how a shrimpy guy is going to overcome his impediment.
