Jealousy? Not hardly. I just think that most of them look silly. Big old balloons on some lady who's so thin her ribs and collarbones are sticking out. It looks sick and unnatural. And talking about unnatural, why do so many women with fake boobs always wear low-cut tops with the boobs all squishing out the top? The bags inside their chest makes a semi-circular arch-shaped ridge beneath the skin that is a dead giveaway that they are fake. (Check most centerfolds to see what I'm talking about.) It looks just weird in my opinion. I was blessed with great boobs, although now that I am 50+ they are not as perky as they once were. If I had less, I wouldn't have cared. I am very much just exactly who I am, and if someone wanted me to be different than I am, I would tell that man to take an effing hike. I guess that is what makes me feel that women who feel so bad about having small breasts that they would surgically alter perfectly healthy breasts are lacking in self-confidence, or that they want the attentions of those guys who are only interested in the superficial. Not my type of guy.

Who cares if a woman gets breast implants? I don't think it's that different than putting on makeup, dying your hair, or anything else women do to look better. I know happily married women who have gotten them. It's not always about attracting a guy. I don't have big breasts and it's taken me a LONG time to come to peace with that. I always felt self conscious, even unsexy, and unwomanly growing up because of it. Who ever heard a guy say oh look at that chick, her small boobs are SO HOT. Like men wouldn't get penis implants if they could make themselves bigger! Not everyone is naturally confident. If a boob job gives a woman confidence, then who is anyone else to call that a red flat or a character flaw?

Right now, at age 51, it's not bad, but I've seen my relatives, with the same feature (it's a family trait), literally looking like bulldogs by the time they are 60 or 65. I personally don't like it, and it's an easy procedure to have it tucked up again. I assure you, I'm going to do it. It has nothing to do with age - if it happened at age 25, I'd have it tucked or smoothed out. It has nothing to do with attracting men - I already have a terrific husband who would still love me, loose skin and all. But I don't like it and I've got the money to fix it and so I will when the time comes.

So this gives me some understanding of how some women reach the conclusion to have breast implants. If, for example, I had breasts that sagged significantly after childbearing, I might consider it. If one breast was markedly larger or smaller than the other, I'd consider correcting that as well. Of course, in the case of surgery and/or scarring, I would NEVER criticize a woman for choosing to have corrective surgery.

But just to have bigger boobs to attract men? THAT is pathetic.
I'm with you Kathryn. The posters that think women who have such procedures are "sad", , don't live your life, or mine, or ANYONE'S but their own, so they cannot possibly know why anyone but their own self, would have one of these procedures. Jaysus.

That wrinkly skin look or seam is just awful looking. Small and real are much much much much preferable to fake of any size - when naked.

Unless the woman has flippity floppity flat saggy hanging boobs that look like knee high tube socks with a golf ball in them, there really isnt any purpose for her getting fake ones.
Your description describes an old mans testicles, too! But, I don't think there are implants for those! Or are there?

Back OT: I think fakes look good in clothes, but look like tupperware bowls naked. There's just something not right.

No there isn't. Men are allowed to age naturally and be sloppy. Didn't you get the memo? If women had testicles I bet you that surgery would already exist. Well we already have "vaginal rejuvenation"

Let's see what else they can come up with to alter the natural look of women. From heat to toe: We already color and iron our hair, wear a mask of foundation and make up that doesn't let our skin breath, facelifts and nexk lifts, breast aumentation, tummy tucks and liposuction of stomach and thighs, vaginal rejuvenation, feet surgery so can wear stilletos for our horney men. Is their anything natural in our bodies anymore?

Can we just create rubber dolls that fit guys fantasies and let the women be as casual as men? Maybe we need three sexes. Men, women and blowup dolls.

blowup dolls.

Spot on! but the sad part of it is...those blowup dolls are not even sexy (well they must be for the men who like Barbie dolls...)

In all fairness, even though I'm not a fan of fake boobs, you do have somewhat of a point. I suppose the general mindset behind plastic surgery may not be that different from the mindset behind dying hair or wearing makeup.

Obviously plastic surgery is a lot more drastic and risky.

I do wear makeup and have dyed my hair everything from blond to redhead to brunette. I'll try to tone down my disdain for plastic surgery. (sheesh I hate it when someone causes me to realize I may have been wrong)

Interesting that your change of heart led in the direction of accepting plastic surgery instead of rejecting makeup and hair dye. Just something to think about.

For the record, I'm not gullible enough to actually believe there is any real comparison between slapping on some eye liner or lipstick vs. paying strangers to knock me out, slice me open, and insert foreign objects into my body.. but if you bought into that line, I just wanted to point out there is another response you seemed to dismiss altogether..

They are not looking better, they are just getting a fake look that was promoted by the porn industry. Boobs that barely move, because what "real man" wants a boob that disappears when a woman lies on her back or sags when she lies on her side? No please bring the blowup dolls to these macho men.

Those Japanese really need to get with the program and create blowup robotess.
