Default Ladies: Give this man some advice, please.

What are some fashion tips a lean/slim/trim man should be aware of in order to make himself look more appealing?

Banana Republic has great clothes for men at a reasonable price. Lean men look great in all kinds of clothes. Maybe he just needs someone to take him shopping.

Don't wear baggie clothes. Get a nice cut tweed jacket. Wear slimcut blue jeans. The combination of broad shoulders, slim hips and long legs is very appealing.

fitted pants! Nothing too baggy, pants AND shirts wise, but nothing too tight And shoes...nothing clunky or smelly Collared shirts are alright. Dark wash jeans.

My husband is lean and trim and he looks wonderful when dressed in a tie, nice shirt and black pants.

Don't be afraid of nice colored shirts--purples, for example, or yellow. Too many men wear blue (boring..) or white.

Dark jeans and a black or tweed sports jacket is a great look. Even with just a white T underneath.

BE CLEAN and SMELL GOOD but not 'perfumy'.

If the problem is him feeling too thin, I would start with layering. Especially now that it's getting colder out it will be easy to add some bulk.

The problem is retail is afriad of color in the mens clothes.

If they do offer other colors it not a true color but a faded or neutral color.

Most of men's shirts are gray, black or washed out. I dont know the original poster height or weight but if they even wear a small it very hard to find your size in the stores.

I know it hard to find your size and it is important to wear clothes that fit.
Some stores sale ribbed shirts and they hang on the body very well.

I think we should start by asking you what your particular style is. Rather, than suggesting our personal favorite looks.
