You see, it's all about "feelings"

Don't tell her the truth--that she's fat & needs to do something about herself; you'll hurt...her FEELINGS
You don't FEEL good about yourself or your life, load up on Big Macs..you'll FEEL better.

We hoist the sensitive "victim" on our shoulders (ow!) and carry her forward into denial...
We kick the self-empowered woman, who works out and wants excellence; and attempt to victimize her with ugly labels, question her sanity, cast aspersions on her femininity and other forms of ridicule...the only thing wrong with that plan, the self-empowered will successfully RESIST all those attempts by the narrow-minded to victimize them.

A lot of media has advertised thin as sexy, and a lot of other people have formed an overly strong reaction to it by lambasting thin women as ugly and glorifying larger women. Really, both sides are wrong. Everyone has different preferences. That doesn't mean it's okay to say either body type is wrong.

It has distorted views of what is fat. I just had an idiot call me fat because I am a size 10 at 5'7. Forget the fact my measurements are 36-24-34 and have muscular arms and legs (am an athlete)but because I wear a size 10 (not even a plus size btw)then I must be fat *rolls eyes*. I have no bulge anywhere. I work out often and eat healthy. My doctor even said I was at the normal weight for my height.

Ironic, ain't it, considering you were calling other women "fatsos" and "piggies" in another thread.

So clear something up for me. I generally determine size by measurements (because, really, that's how it's done) and I know variations in manufacturers or large thighs or such can change the number on your pants but...how on earth are you wearing size 10s on 34" hips? I generally run 34-36" hips and wear size 0-4. So what's different between the two of us?

You know she lying about her measurements. Ain't no size 10 person can have a 24 waist and 34 inch hips. More like a 32 in waist and 40 in hips.

Maybe not. I have a 32inch waist and 48 inch hips,but I don't wear a size 10. I wear size 16.

Measurements don't tell a thing. Someone told me there were skinny because they wore size 10 jeans, but forgot to tell me they wear a 2x in shirts. Big at top, skinny at the bottom.

Those measurements are way off. If those were her real measurements she would be a size 4.
