Can anyone give me the name of a high-end fashion shoe brand that is a recognizable name but not as expensive as Christian Louboutin?

That's true. I was thinking more "recognizable" than "high end."

Bally. But really, how high do you want? Go to Zappos and sort by price, high to low.

For the record I do love Steve Madden shoes.

For the OP you may want to consider shoes like the sell at Nordstroms, not specifically high end, but I do like the following brands:

Why not just go to the shoe section at a high end department store and look? There are plenty. Kate Spade is a good one, a little lower priced than some others (sometimes), and Stuart Weitzman is one of the lower priced high end brands. JCrew is also pretty expensive shoe and made in Italy (plus really really nice), but I'm not sure it has the same name power as the others. Coach, too, if you like that style, and Cole Haan.
