It sounds like a weird new twist on vanity sizing to me.

F & G cups are big.

Not necessarily. They are just larger on top than you. It depends in body shape as well. There are tons of variations. But there isn't a big relationship between clothing size and band size. Someone who wears a size 14 can easily range from having a 32 band to 42.

I am on my phone, please forgive the typos.

Dude my shoulders are nearly 40 inches I doubt they're really bigger than me up top. Bone structurewise unless they're men. I mean my my shoulders are basically that of the male gendered person.

My good friend is a 28G and her breasts look fairly small. I'm a 36H and mine look gigantic, but they're proportional to my height/size. I think people underestimate how much the band size has to do with how 'large' breasts look.

I also have a very deep ribcage and my lungs hold a bit more volume than the average person so my experiences are different.

Why does it matter? You are the size you are.

I'm confused are they resizing cups now? Cause I'm a 40d+ even though I'm 139/140 lbs and I gotta tell you I'm all boobs. I was in a D cup by the time i was 19 and never once looked that small. These girls who are "c" cups in these pics look IMO a/b at the most. I have to buy large shirts even though I can easily fit I to a Med just to fit these girls. I think they're upping the sizes to make the A cups feel better

All the letter means is a 1" difference between your band and your breasts. If you're a 40D then your boobs only project 4" away from your chest, which isn't all that big.

Thin and Curvy: How to measure your bra size, the correct way!

More than likely you're wearing the wrong size. I thought I was a 42DD for a long time...turns out I'm a 36H when measured correctly. I mean..I'm 80+ lbs heavier (and probably a foot or more taller ) than you and I wear a 36" band so I truly doubt you're a 40 if you weigh that little.

Agreed. I was in the same boat. I am a 34H And I wear size 14/16. I thought I was something like a 40dd.
