I went through a phase of only showering once a week when I was in college, because I just didn't have the time. I do shower more in the summer. It's better for my hair, which I've dyed a lot, not to wash it all the time.

I showered the morning after my c-sections in the hospital; I've showered before when the electricity was out and there was no hot water. The only time I'll skip a day is when I'm outside camping.

I love showers. They are my alone time and they refresh me. Once a week is not doable in my world.

While reading this thread I kept thinking about old cowboy movies. Like maybe Walter Brennan saying "Injuns are around, I can smell 'em".

see? this is more of less it. great post

why is most people here reacting with disgust? have you read my posts? i actually did smell good, i washed the parts of my body that could smell daily, i wore deodorant and perfume and got complemented about my smell. It wasnt disgusting at all. And people suggesting me to shower? like i said, this was an exception, i usually shower daily and i already showered two times betweeen sunday and today.

I was just stating that with my "experiment" i checked that sometimes the natural smell is even better than soap and perfume.

I know men who like that "musky"/ "natural" smell. To them it's like a field of the most sweetest flower or something lol

I think you answered that yourself, arificial scents hide alot, you were masking the odor. Plus you took what essentially are sponge baths. Look I have been to the metropolitan cities of Sao Paulo, Delhi, Shanghi, Paris, Cairo...the list goes on. Standards of bathing vary from culture to culture. That's not stereotype, it's fact. Most cultures are amused that Americans bath so often, and the tolerance for body odor varies. Most people adapt. If you don't take a bath in a relatively warm environment, you start to have body odor. It's also a health and hygeine issue.
Now, before the age of modern plubming people had this issue as well - no baths or mediocre baths, dirty clothes. Yes people managed....within an average life span of about 45 years.
And what's with this word "wonderful"?
