I'll be going to Las Vegas for the first time, but I don't know what to wear. For restaurants that are located in a hotel and casino would I have to wear some type of dress and heels? For daytime will jeans and shirt be fine.

You don't HAVE to, but people tend to dress up, especially on weekends.

LOTS of walking... so comfortable heels!

For evening (dinner/show/ casino) - a strapless dress; cocktail type dress; Nice top with jeans and heels.
Daytime - shorts; jeans; sundress type casual dresses.

Enjoy! Vegas is alot of fun - especially the first time!

I've never noticed people dressing much different from places they would go at home. Jeans and shirt are definitely worn by many during the day and by plenty at night. Dress up for a show if you wish, but, many will still be very casual. Generally, clothing runs the gamut. I've been there several times and have never been overdressed nor underdressed. It's a tourist town.

It really depends on where you are going. Dinner at In-n-Out, jeans. Dinner at Le Cirque, dressy.
Walking around, pretty much anything goes. There is lots of walking, too! So comfortable shoes, regardless. Have fun, & good luck!

You mean everyone does not dress up like the original "Ocean's Eleven" with Frank Sinatra?

In Vegas the women at the bar alone that look like hookers are the housewives from the mid-west trying to look classy/sexy and are bored while their husbands gamble. The ladies sedately dressed that do not look like hookers, are the hookers............LOL

You could wear jeans the entire time, unless you are eating at one of the few restaurants that have a dress code. It's very, VERY casual. You will want to walk a lot, so wear what is comfortable, but not sloppy. You'll be fine.

You can wear anything you like. There are all types in Vegas, so you won't look too out of place in casuals OR in a little black dress.

Personally, I'd dress up. But that's because I'd be looking to party, mingle, and leave an impression.

Are you going with a significant other? Friends? Are you a young adult or more mature?
