I come from Miami and yes we do dress like that when we go to a club. It's the norm. Obviously its not where you are from. I don't go out hunting for married men. Sorry to say but it's women like you that are causing men to go out and have affairs with someone who is being sexy and not afraid to show it. I have a rocking body and I like to show it off. There's nothing wrong it at all. Stay at home with your husband as a hermit or buy the two of you some horse blinders if you don't like what's going on in public. Or better yet don't frequent those types of places.
Why do you have a need to attack me personally? Did I hit the nail-on-the head with my opinion of SOME WOMEN? First of all, I am stating my opinion on the theme. Have I touched on some personal issues that have made you upset?

What make you think I dress like an old maid? Did I explicitly stated so? I dress appropriately to the occasion. At 38 you are still doing the clubs, looking for the "right man''? Very sad! And you are correct, no, I am not from Miami, although I lived there for 3 years. Like you, I have the right to make my opinion heard.

Let me quote your statement: "It is women like you that are causing married men to go out there and have affairs with someone who is being sexy and not afraid to show it."

Women like me? It is so sad when women like you are so confused that they cannot tell when a married man is using them for a one-night- stand. Enough of trying to attack me to offset your behavior in clubs. OBVIOUSLY, with your "rocking body," it is clear that you still have not met a man that appreciates it, otherwise you would not be at 38, still clubbing.

The point I was trying to make about this woman that was escorted out of the Water Park, is that SOME WOMEN lack simple common sense: Their judgement becomes impaired.

This woman was escorted out of the Water Park, with her teen daughter, lives in Independence, Missouri, which is the BIBLE- BELT CAPITAL of the USA. And this is a FAMILY WATER PARK, not a harlot's club. This is not the place to go half-undressed, with her teen daughter. If she wanted to exhibit her robust figure, half-naked, she could have left her teen daughter with family or friends, and go to an ADULT'S CLUB, dressed for the occasion, fornicate with as many men as she wanted, and then go home.

She used poor judgement, end of story...

The "Independence is the Bible Belt!" thing is interesting to me, because I live in Kansas City (the city of which Independence is a suburb), and for better or worse, it's not uncommon for folks here to associate the community with low-rent flophouses, prostitutes, and methamphetamines. The more charitable and heritage-minded population tends to associate it with Harry Truman and the start of the Oregon, Santa Fe, and California wagon train trails, as it's a national heritage corridor. Not so much megachurches.

This just illustrates how the same outfit on different body types can be perceived differently. I guarantee someone with a more "flat chested" Cameron Diaz look would not have been confronted. Even if the same amount of cleavage/breast was showing.

I am on my phone, please forgive the typos.

I once had a job where female employees would be "talked to" and sent home to change over the degree of scoop in the necklines of their business-casual tops (don't even get me started on how badly this iemployer was setting itself up for harrassment lawsuits, especially since it was always the same guy who was tasked with coming around and being the "cleavage police"). They ran into trouble, because when wearing an identical top, one woman (larger breasted) was talked to and sent home to change, and another (smaller breasted) was not. It was determined that it was inappropriate to target people by body type when wearing identical attire that met dress code parameters. Not too long after, a uniform dress code was set up, and company shirts were issued that everyone had to wear. Now, they still looked different on the bigger-breasted women than the smaller-breasted women, but nobody could say anything.

I read sometime ago, that either Independence, Mo., or Independence, Kansas, is a very religious area, and then I found this in Google.

As a resident of the area, just offering my perspective. To most people in the area, the most significant spiritually-related thing about Independence is that it played an important role in early LDS (Mormon) history. Other than that, if you say "Independence," here, people locally really do just seem to either immediately think primarily of hookers and meth, or the Truman Presidential Library and associated historic sites and the aforementioned frontier trails/Westward expansion stuff. The Latter-Day Saints do have a temple, but that's a pretty isolated community...not exactly Salt Lake City. The LDS connection may be why people not from here latch on to the "super religous" label, but honestly, my experience living here is that most metro inhabitants just see Independence as a semi-to-moderately sketchy suburb with a little bit to offer the history-minded tourist, and nothing much else.

Also, Independence, KS is a small community of fewer than 10,000 people near the Oklahoma border. It is not the Independence where this incident occurred. Independence, MO is a large-ish (120k or so) satellite city of Kansas City. The two are almost 200 miles apart, and although I have never been to Independence, KS (and therefore, can't speak to its religiosity), I would be surprised if they had very much in common.

I wonder if the smaller-chested women were the ones who made some of the complaints, since they were not being recognized or acknowledged in the same way?

I seriously doubt it.

My point exactly. The hot weather comes and you've been drinking the Haterade, rather than just cooling off, like she was.
