Another fan of Coach. I too have owned some for over 20 years.

I've never paid more than 400 for a bag.

Planning on buying my first high end designer handbag this fall, so it will probably be about $3K. I went to Nordstrom and the sales lady put my MK bag next to the designer bag; the MK bag looked embarrassed standing next to it. Poor MK bag, but I still like you; you're very practical.

For the first time, I don't feel bad about it either. After all, this is the girl that wore ProWings shoes to school and was made fun of by kids because everyone else was wearing LA Gear(!) and Birkenstocks. Worked hard and now I can afford a bag without sacrificing a few paychecks for it.

The most I've spent on a bag was about $500. If I found a bag I loved that was more money, I would go for it if it fit into my budget.
That's true, but I can't fathom spending $500 or $700 on a pit for my womanly crap. The most I have personally spent was $160. I recently found a gorgeous rouched Treesje handbag that normally costs around $500, but because I bought it used from a seller on ebay, I got it for $90. It looked like it had been carried twice, if even that. It was in perfect condition. Most of my bags are between $75-$100, because I only get leather ones, but they don't have to be designer. It's all about if they meet my needs, not the label on the bag.

Highest I could spend or have spent is $100 and even that seemed to much as I am pretty frugal with money. I do have coach, fossil, vera bradley and misc brands. All bought at ebay, outlets or garage sales.

I only have few that hopefully lasts forver. Between 20 - 70 dollars. I pay for material and sewing quality and not the brand.

Very well said. My wife swears by the brand. And since I inevitably end up buying them for her, I really appreciate that you get an awful lot of "bang for the buck" with Coach. So much so, that I cant see paying anymore for a "haute couture" brand- even if I could afford it.
