The only reason I don't kick myself is because as you know they increase in value. In the event I ever need money for some reason I can sell them. As long as I keep them in good shape and send them to H spa they will be ready....

This is me. When the one I have now wears out and looks shabby, I'll simply throw it out and get another one.

It's just a freaking handbag, not a character trait.

$700 for new or used?
This price range ($700-1000) is bad because the quality of these bags will be no different than $400 bags.
I would either suggest to try to stay under $500 or go from $1500 and above. Keep in mind you can easily resell your purse later, so keep your receipt just in case
Watch out for discounted bags because high price on the tags don't represent good quality at all and used to show how much you will save based on that price.
Check out lastcall or bluefly, but keep in mind they call purses from prev. seasons and sometimes purses that were made for discounted stores.
Not sure what are you trying to accomplish - to get brand name purse or good quality product, but I would suggest to stay away from some brands like Coach. Since Couch pushed their market towards outlet store, 9 people out of 10 now carry Coach purses and some of them are fake. I am not trying to offend anyone, it's just my personal opinion. Looks like Michael Kors is going the same direction.

LOL, I was just talking with Mrs. Chow and she was saying that she is often satisfied with bags at Target.

LOL, I like that.......

It would seem to me that 40 or 50 bucks and you could score a decent bag.......

I don't knock people for spending money on purses. Do what you will with your $$. I hate purses- can't stand shopping for them. But to be practical, I need to carry one. I don't think I've spent more than $30 on them. The downside- they don't last long. I usually buy one every year.
