exercise: 2 pair
non-exercise: 12 pair
That's a lot, considering I hate stuff and I hate to shop for it.

I'm going to have to estimate.
30 pairs of sandals (including 11 pairs of flip flops)
30 pairs of shoes (6 flats)
11 pairs of boots (3 booties, 2 winter boots)
2 pairs of sneakers
Again, this is an estimate... . I've counted as many as I could.

1 pair pumps that are currently at cobbler, having heel cap/tip replaced (only wear them 4x/year)
1 pair sandals
1 pair around-the-house slippers (furry mules)
1 pair sneakers (what I wear most often)
1 pair waterproof ankle boots (wear most often in winter)
1 pair mid-calf boots
For a total of 6 prs. footwear,
guess that's pretty modest,
judging by some other posts...

1 Pair of Muck Boots
1 Pair of Winter Boots
1 Pair of work sneakers
1 Pair of Granny Boots worn in the summer for weddings, funerals etc. (yes I wear them with a dress or skirt)
4 pair of keds sneakers, different colors and only worn when we go into town to have supper
No house slippers, no heals, no pumps, no extra anything shoes because I just don't need them and really should have only one pair of keds but I love the other colors so I splurged and got 4 pair.

I don't "need" them, but I prefer to have different colors for variety sake. Flip flops are expendable to me, and I also find they last longer if I rotate them more.

I have a serious shoe addiction.
I got rid of a bunch when I moved last, so I've got around 100 pair now.
I know.... I know.....

Two pairs of faux fur lined and trimmed winter boots.
One pair knee-length leather dressy boots.
One pair gore-tex hiking boots.
Four pairs of Teva sandals. (I love Tevas!)
Three pairs of dressy shoes.
One pair of flip-flops.
Three pairs of sneakers.

I'm guessing 15 tops. A few pairs of sneakers, sandals, dressy/work shoes, boots, heels. I'm not a big shoe person, but I try to have primary colors of different types of shoes that can be easily rotated. Occasionally, I'll grab a pair that doesn't "go" with anything, but are just really cute, so I have to make it work.
For those with more than, say, 20 pairs, why? (I'm genuinely asking, not being snarky). Aren't there going to be a number of shoes that are redundant and don't get worn at all or like once per year? Do you rotate storage based on seasons?
