It completely depends on the guy. My husband would look ridiculous with one and he knows it. It's just not his style or personality. But, there are some men out there who can pull it off nicely. Basically, it has to fit in with your manner of dressing and profession. If you're a student, especially one in something like engineering or accounting, then you should have one simply because you'll have to remove it upon graduation.

Overall, I think it's sexy when guys wear small hoops.

I LOVE the look of stretched ears on guys. Maybe it's because I have them too, but I've always been attracted to the tattooed, stretched ears rocker type of guy. My boyfriend doesn't have any piercings or tattoos though, so it goes to show you that you fall for the person him/herself and not what they look like

I hate it with a passion. I think it looks trashy and ear stretching...well all I can think about is that disgusting smell you catch from people who dont maintain it well.

Plus guys are such BABIES if they get hit in the earring or get it caught on somthing.

I have always loved an earring on men. I think it's very sexy. However, note that I said 'earring' as in singular. I like only ONE earring on a man, not a pair. Perhaps for me it differentiates feminine from masculine, I dunno.

Totally depends on the man. Wimpy-man + earring = gay. JMO.

Of course on a very masculine looking guy, I think a tiny hoop looks fine.

I love earrings on a man, but it really depends on the jewelry and the man. I once dated a guy with one in each ear, the septum, tongue, belly button and both nipples. A bit much, but it looked sexy on him! Anyway, as long as it doesn't look too "hair-band" I'm all for them. My favorite jewelry, btw, is the circular barbell with captive or screwed-on beads... that's what I wear in my upper ear piercings.

About the hair style, I think any hairdo can work with an earring. Best (in my opinion) is probably slightly long hair, like chin-length or just above...

Honestly, (and I'm almost 40) I think that a guy wearing an earring makes him look dated. I just think that all ended in the 80's. I have seen rappers wearing the big studs and to me, that just looks "ok". But, I could do without seeing it.

That's pretty much the way I feel about it. I'm older that you are and to me, it's just a choice. It's not new (this century or last) or original. It's like women wearing earrings, you do or you don't. My husband wore an earring for a couple of years in the '80's and then just stopped once the big thrill was over. Similarly, in the '70's I wanted a tattoo. I couldn't find a place to get one. I don't want one any more because everyone else has one.
