I've never liked bathrobes and I've had a variety of them since my mother kept thinking I needed one. If I'm wearing bedclothes they seem bulky, if I'm naked my ankles get cold, the sleeves always seemed to get in the way when cooking breakfast. I'm just not a fan.

lol when parents sometimes call me out when I wear my PJ's all day, if I'm not going out.

Guess you can tell that I am a parent. lol

If you are sick, you can wear your pj's all day.
If you are not sick, you can wear your pj's all day, but you cannot eat lunch or supper at the table. You can wear your pj's to breakfast if you wear a robe to cover up.

I'm just picky that way.

I love bathrobes and have several. I find them practical as a cover-up, and a warm extra layer and cozy in the winter. They are convenient to wear as you're starting your day, or ending it.

I wear them after I shower and before I get dressed. I wear them as I make breakfast in the morning. On the weekends everyone in my house eats breakfast in pajamas and robes.

I have a long robe that zips up in the front, not the type that tie which I could never keep closed. I usually wear it when I get out of bed before showering, and right after showering while I do my hair and makeup for additional "dry time" and so I don't mess up whatever I'm wearing that day. I tend to wander around the house to deal with pets, and coffee and laundry and such while getting ready so a towel or my barely-there nightgown is not going to cut it. My usual sitting around the house wear is sweat or yoga pants though.

I used to have a really light thin bathroom, it was perfect, get out of the shower, dry off put on the rob for just a bit, finish getting ready for work, then by the time you were getting dressed you were completely dry, I hate getting dressed when still slightly wet, annoying as hell.

Anyways, haven't been able to find another rob like that, they all seem to be those big thick "spa" style ones and they are way to heavy and hot for me.

I'm still sort of cranky I had to retire my robe, LOL, it was getting thread bare....

And no, I didn't lounge around the house free ballin it, it was just to get prepped for my day.....

Wasn't a male "moo moo"......

I think I know what turned me off robes. Knew a woman who wore one with loose sleeves or maybe one of those blankets with sleeves as a robe, and made the fatal mistake of cooking in it.

I stopped wearing mine around that time.

Wanna talk slippers though -- gotta have them... my feet are always covered.

Nope... no slippers, ever! I am barefoot year 'round, even when snow is on the ground.
