Since I can't get an honest opinion from women in person or even from my own daughters. I thought I would try here.... I have been thinking about having my ears "fixed" . My hearing is fine. I'm talking about the appearance . They are not extreme, but do protrude and give my face an unnatural "V" shape. I should also add , I have a slim but muscular build in general ( 6'2" 175lbs )
Are the ears that big of a deal ? Has anyone on here ever had this done ?
What are your first thoughts when you first meet a guy with these features ??

It's hard to know if it's REALLY a problem or a problem with your PERCEPTION of them.

I guess your hair is very short, buzzed or gone?

Why do you think your daughters won't give you an "honest" opinion?

What about a photo with your face hidden so we can offer an honest opinion?

Are you Dr. Spock? I'd think "fixing" your ears is a bit extreme, but then I'm a dude, not a female. It's more telling to me that you seem to ask women (and your daughters) what they think and when they tell you your ears are fine as is, you think they're lying. This is odd behaviour.

I know a lot of people that had their ears fixed. Most of them did it when they were young. If it's important to you - then do it. The people that love you probably won't care either way - but if it means a boost in your self esteem - then go ahead.

If your like me, then your probably your own harshest critic by a lot. That said, I'd say do what you feel is best for yourself. Your loved ones should be supportive of that.

Some guys can be cute with weird ears. Others, not so much.

My husband had what he called "Dumbo Ears" and the older he got the bigger they got. He wished he had done something about them when he was younger.

Do what makes you happy. If you're self-conscious about your ears, get them done.

Just don't expect it to solve any problems with women dating that you might have, other than self-conciousness about your ears. Just being hypothetical, but if your personality is abrasive or you don't shower regularly or something like that, getting your ears done won't help that.

Its probably in your head. You are probably fine. That's why your daughters don't want it they like you how you are. Only augmentation I would get is necessary ones for health reasons or if I was in an accident and had gruesome deformities.
