Why is it that we (er, some in society) seem to think that female athletes not only need to prove themselves as athletes, but also be models/sex symbols at the same time? this drives me nuts.

I mean really, we don't look at male sports stars and pick apart their appearances.
Because a woman's looks and perceived attractiveness are paramount above all other accomplishments.

Heaven forbid the day we get a female president. They are going to focus on her hair and not policies.

I don't see any problem with their hair. I am sure it is much easier to care for, and that means a lot.

I would cut mine off tomorrow if my SO didn't like long hair so much, and I am not even kidding.

Long hair is a pain in the butt. Pain to wash, pain to condition, pain to brush, pain to everything! All I do is wash, dry, and comb mine out after and just run a brush through it the next day.

Style all that hair? Hellz to the no!

I think the styles are cute. Reminds me of how Dorothy Hamill used to wear her hair. Hair – Flow it, Show it, Long as God Can Grow It |

I think the posture of the woman on the left is a bit masculine, but the cut is cute. They just need a bit of makeup to look more attractive.
