Big shoulders, small (not muscly) lower back.....no good.

Narrow famine shoulders with a tube down below won't work either.

Only true if the guy is proportioned properly.
My shoulders are huge. It's difficult in airline seats.

It is the ratio between the waist and the widest point of the shoulders that is attractive. Which is contradictory to maximal strength.

A lot of males who are very cut are actually not in peak athletic condition. I used to train for "looks" and had a 31 inch waist, thick back, excellent V-shape. I started training for athletic performance and strength, after years of squatting, deadlifting, doing weighted oblique exercises, etc. my abdominal muscles and obliques bulked up and now I have a 35 inch waist but it is all muscle.

I've been told that it doesn't look as good as the body shape I had before, but when it comes down to the wire I have more strength, power, and speed. Models and bodybuilders will intentionally not bulk up their lower backs, abs, and obliques to avoid the shape I have gotten. I still have a wider back and shoulders than my bulked up core, but the difference is no longer as notable.

I dunno, but the v-shaped back is what everyone talks about. Not other shapes.

Kid, you worry about stuff too much. This is such a minor detail. Fuggedaboutit. Don't worry, be happy.

I think more women like the v shape front (abs) more than the v shape back.

Everyone? I don't believe I've had a conversation with my girlfriends about 'v-shaped mens backs'. I did have a conversation about something similar with the dude I'm seeing, because he's working on bulking up and getting a six pack/v shape while he knows I'm into chubby dudes. He's the one who brought it up though, not me...I'd like him either way.

The Adonis belt? Isn't that part connected to the male genitals?
