So when you non-daily washers work out and get all sweaty, do you wash it then, or just comb it out and get on with life?

I time my heavy workouts with knowing that I will need to wash & condition my hair afterwards. The other days, I do some easier stuff like balance and stretching work where at most a light rinse of water will be enough to take care of my hair.

I wash weekly, I have relaxed hair. I use strategic sweat bands and typically it isn't an issue of my hair being too sweaty other than around the hairline. If it is, I use conditioner only and "cowash."

On an autocorrecting iDevice.

Twice a week. My hair is thick, long and dry. It doesn't need to be washed more often, or else it starts to look coarse.

I wash and condition my hair every day. I have oily hair and skin, and I use a conditioner for oily hair.

If I don't shower and wash my hair every day, I feel dirty. It's the first thing I do each day when I get out of bed. If I've worked outside on the lawn or the house or whatever, I'll shower and shampoo again.

Twice a week, generally. I like how it looks and feels on the third day of not washing, not so flyaway. I use conditioner now that I color it so often, because the grey is increasing.

I can't believe I've never asked people I know how often they wash & shampoo. Today I asked four women - two of them very stylish types - and not one of them does it daily. I'm really surprised! I feel like I've been doing it wrong all my life, LOL.

I'm going to every other day starting yesterday. It makes sense. As a dog owner I've long known that bathing dogs too frequently is bad because it dries the skin and strips natural oils from the hair. It makes sense that the same could apply to human hair.

Every day. I feel too greasy if I don't. My hair is past my shoulders and touches my face. I feel dirty if I don't wash my hair and body every day. I don't know how people go days without washing their hair.

I also have dry, wirey, curly hair that I have keratin treatments on. Wash when it needs it, usually no more often then every 4 days. More then that and the treatments go away to quick... and it gets harsher.

Rinse and condition after swimming if needed, but no shampoo. And only use sulfate free shampoo.
