Has anyone here ever used Witch Hazel?

What good things has it done for you?

I use it for toner and first aid. When I use it for toner it closes my pores after exfoliation, it seems less harsh than regular toners. When I use it for first aid I use it for abrasions or insect bites.

It is wonderful for cleansing skin (especially with acne), bug bites, cleaning wounds. We use it all the time. And it's cheap too!

It's comes in handy for a multitude of purposes, much of what has already been listed, known for it's skin soothing properties sunburn, varicose viens, bags under the eyes, I sometimes will gargle with it, also good for an itchy scalp. I always have WH, and peroxide along with alcohol in my cabinet.

Haven't used it in years but I used to use it as a toner and cleanser when I was younger. It's also a mild antiseptic and antifungal.

I always have it in the house. I use it for after sun, when I used to sun bath like a maniac. Mostly as a face cleaner, I just like it.

Ahhh, I haven't used it in years, but when I was younger, it was great as a toner. I had very oily skin and I would dab the witch hazel on my nose to close the pores. Felt so soothing! And I loved the smell.

I keep it on hand for cat scratches and bug bites, but witch hazel is 14% alcohol, and therefore bad for my drier rosacea skin. It's not soothing at all for me.

I notice as I am getting to the bottom of the bottle, it has a strange smell. (I always use the clean, dry puff cotton balls to apply

Is that because it's more concentrated at the bottom?

(I have ordered a new one because I love it so much)
