When I went to America it actually seemed quite a few young women and a lot of older women did not wear any makeup, or at least not noticeable makeup. Especially in the New York and Boston. It was more prevalent in California though, and varied in the South. I'd say it seems commoner if anything in Australia, especially with say women in the 17-45 range, although a lot of middle aged women wear it and some younger teenage girls. Globally, the US is probably lower than some places like Eastern Europe, the UK, maybe even parts of Asia, and higher than a lot of other places like China, India, NZ, France (funnily enough).

Some Brazilian women do wear lots of cosmetics, but its more the noticeable kind like bright lipstic or drawing lines around the eyes. From what I have seen it was purposely trying to wear the make up to accessorize. I do not believe they wear as much cover up , cake like foundation and stuff like that.

I suspect that in the USA, visible lipstick usage has declined since the 1980's. Probably replaced by lip gloss or injected fillers.

Yes here in the good ole USA its gone one way or the other. The soulless carp-like femnazi who has underarm hair and zero make up. Or, the wanna be beauty queen with caked on foundation and creams.
