[No, instructions said to spray directly on to face.
uote=Soda120;31744867]Did you spray the Mineral stuff and "walk through it" like another poster suggested?[/quote]

Nope, use the hairspray like you would perfume, spray into air, then walk through.

Only takes a bit.

I know the suggestion was not to spray hair spray on your face, but to spray some into the air and walk into the mist.

But even so, doesn't something just sound wrong about hair spray on your face?
The chemicals on your skin, the fine particles you likely breathe in, etc

I realize make up, and moisturizers, and even soaps all have chemicals -- but hair spray on my face just sounds sooo wrong.

I've tried it but it didn't seem to make any difference.

I've tried a few and have never been impressed.

I have, however, gotten great results from hairspray. Unfortunately, I hate the way it feels. I'll only do this if I know I'm going to be photographed (like at a wedding).

I used to use a mineral water spray when I was a model many years ago. It helped keep the makeup looking fresh and dewy.

Years ago, when I insisted on using powder to set my makeup (really doesn't work for me -- just dries me up) I would take a very well wrung out washcloth and press on my face after powder. Then I gave up powder, and just used the washcloth trick. That's what set my makeup.

So I understand the spray thing. But I'm betting you could just get a good spray bottle and use water lightly.

I've only tried one brand, and it worked REALLY. I don't use it every time I wear makeup, I only use it when I know its going to be a long day outside or around a lot of people, family events, etc. I've used it a few times, and it works well when you mist it but not accidentally soak your face like I did the first time I used it, lol. And its cheap:
