loose change
Pocket the change. I seldom carry any anyway. Debit cards are your friend
wallet
Pocket for that
phone
Pocket for that
pill container (for allergies, etc.)
I don't take pills but have in the past left extra pills when needed at home, at work, and in the car.
headphones
I have buds and they can go in the pocket, or stay near the ears.
keys (very damaging to pockets)
My keys are on a clip on my belt
phone charger
I have one at home, one in the car, and one at my desk
eye drops
don't normally keep them but could purchase them for places I would be.
pen
Pocket
scraps of paper containing various notes/reminders
I stopped keeping scraps of paper when I found out that my phone can keep notes.
breath mints
I always keep my Tic Tacks with me in my pocket
and a couple other things depending on event/time of year like an inhaler during allergy season or coupons needed for the days shopping
Not much of an inhaler kind of guy and I seldom shop.

Seems like all normal stuff that anyone would carry around no matter their sexual orientation.
My answer to the man purse

That list is hilarious. What guy is carrying all that stuff with them? Here's a hint: that's what WOMEN carry. If we stopped a random man right this second and checked what they had on them, it would not include anything other than a wallet, phone, and keys for 99% of men. Maybe change and maybe gum, but either way nobody would be like "I need a purse for this! And high heels! And a skirt!"

How about a lunch, a laptop, an umbrella, a day planner...?

And by the way, I see TONS or "random men" going to and from work with bags. TONS.

I know of no man who carries any of that stuff around, other than a laptop at times. But to call a laptop bag a "purse" or "man bag" is a specious argument. Men don't carry purses or man bags. Not unless they're metro or gay.

I think briefcases (hard or soft) and messenger bags are great "man bags." Also, some types of structured bags.

I have seen a few people walking around with these:

and that was a bit weird for me!

My dad always carried around a "man bag." When I was younger and he was wearing a suit to work, it was a briefcase. When his job was more casual, it was a soft briefcase like thing.

But when that wasn't practical, my dad is obsessed with pockets. He only wears shirts with 2. And his jackets always have 4000 pockets. To carry all his stuff..... I think a man bag is way more logical.

For the sporty guys out there, try Rickshaw or Timbuktu bags.

If you don't know men who carry a lunch, day planner, or umbrella around, you should really get out into the world more.

I guess you really do have the "small town blues".

Nah, I've lived in New York City, too, and last time I checked that's not a small town. P.S. Straight men didn't carry purses in NYC. It's true. Go on the subway and take a look. Even most gay guys didn't.

Carring a lunch, umbrella, laptop, day planner, is not the same as carring a man purse. Women carry a purse and all that other stuff as well. How many women keep a lunch in their purse? In todays world many do not even need to carry a lap top with them anymore. Keep your files in the cloud and work from any device you want.
