I live up north in NJ. Is it weird to wear a windbreaker when its warm out and no one else is wearing one. For some reason, I am feeling extra cold today, even though I am not sick .
I will layer it with a light short sleeve polo (which is what I usually wear when its this warm).
In college this morning, most of the kids had on hoodies and coats and I had on a short sleeved v neck t shirt. I get hot most of the time and when I went in that building that heat was jacked up.
Gosh no!! I'd be freezing, in fact I think that's about the forecast in my city all week and I am freezing as I type this because the boilers have not yet been turned on in the building. 60's during the day mean 40's at night and that is coat weather in my book.
I see everything from cargo shorts and flip-flops when it is 50 degrees outside to goose down winter coats when it's just under 70 degrees. Not everyone is wired the same way, if you're cold, wear what makes you comfortable.
Well, since I had a tough time making a set decision, I put one inside my bag but did not wear it since it warmed up quickly and is quite humid today. I will be outside often and need to make a 1.5 mile walk after sunset. I may need a windbreaker then, since they are predicting 61 F with wind and drizzle.
If you care that much about how others will perceive you, best stay home.
Since when was asking somebody whether something appropriate to wear something considered insecure. I don't want to look out of place and attract unnecessary attention.
What would you do if some random security official in the city decides to pat you down because you look out of place. I had this happen to me once 3 years ago just 1 month after I immigrated from India, when I was wearing a hoodie in 70 F weather.
