Any thoughts on the best way to sell gently used handbags?

I used to sell them on ebay, but I haven't used ebay to sell in years. It's mainly mid-range stuff. Coach, MK, Juicy, Burberry, Prada, Fendi. Has anyone had any experiences good or bad?

Find the forums that ladies who like handbags hangout it. Its gonna take some detective work on your party and be open to forums you might not think you'd sell a thing. I sell items thru about 10 different forums currently to support my hunting and fish hobby. Example I saw someone sell some coach bags on a gun/hunting forum this past summer. I was like those things are never gonna sell and BAM gone in one day. Not at a cheap price either.

Also craigslist but you have to be REAL savvy as it's a shark infested pool.

eBay's the best place to sell. About 10 HQ pictures and a good description, and always start the bid at 0.01 dollars to encourage bidders.

I sold two vintage hermes ties on eBay and 31 bidders took one all the way up to 121$ and I got them for free from my family. I could not believe it. And my starting bid was 0.01.

I didn't set any reserve and I offered free postage. The funny thing was that both ties were worn out and wrinkled. Yet there are buyers and they left me a good review.

Talking A couple options

Hi there! In my opinion, there are better options than eBay. It kind of depends on what types of handbags your selling.

If you are selling high-end, luxury designer handbags online then you can directly sell or consign to Yoogi's Closet. They also take other items like shoes, jewelry, clothes, etc.

If you're selling normally-priced handbags, clothes, etc. online then thredUP is a good place to sell to, although they've recently started accepting high-end items, as well.

Hope this helps someone. ^_^

There are enthusiast pages on Facebook, some dedicated to just buying and selling. The ones I've seen are strictly more high end leather and canvas items though. The Coach might be of interest if it is a vintage one. Start searching on FB.

I won't sell anything on ebay any longer, too many fees and thieves when it comes to the buyers.

I put the brand new seat belt handbags I have in the garage sale with a very clear sign they are never used, brand new and the price is firm.

I've sold a couple but I have a dozen more I would like to get rid of.

The best I have done with apparel and accessories as far as selling has been in a local Facebook group dedicated to sales. To be a member, the moderator must approve you and you must meet up with your potential customer in a neutral area within your group's locale. I post lots of detailed pictures to the group and a detailed description, and then people contact me. The group allows you to make your own album of photos and then you simply delete as items are sold.

There are some police department that are starting to promote the idea of people meeting at police stations to do their craigslist sales and purchases.
