Simple Question. Do you like woolen sweaters

I like them a lot. Its fuzzy, smooth, and keeps me warm . Just remember to wear a t shirt or polo underneath. Else, you get static shocks.

They're way too itchy, even if I wear a shirt under.

High quality ones are nice and soft. Also I think people who really don't live in cold states or people who are a little heavy thinks it makes them look fat so they avoid the bigger sweaters.

As for me, I love wearing them on cold snowy days.

I find them to itchy as well. There is something in the wool that I react to no matter the cost of the garment.

Next to the skin, most people really can only wear uber-soft wools like merino or cormo. People with a true wool allergy cannot wear even those.

Merino is my favorite wool to spin at the moment.

What are you talking about. For Pittsburgh PA winters, you need an T shirt + wool sweater + winter coat + long underwear + pants + snowshoes because its SO FREAKING COLD, CLOUDY, AND WINDY . I always pack lots of wool while heading out to Pittsburgh during winter (which happens very often). It helps retain a lot of heat.
