A good friend of mine made me get rid of all my Coach handbags 3 years ago. I am glad she did because I guess I was oblivious but now I see the most low class people carrying around a Coach handbag. I am unsure where Michael Kors stands, but I have one red handbag from MK.

I went out and bought Louis Vuitton and now I am seeing those all over the place.

What do most of you carry?

Louis Vuitton has always been all over the place. I remember in high school almost every girl had a LV purse. I never had one, I'm not really into designer purses. The purse I am currently using doesn't have a brand name on it, but I get compliments on it constantly. I go more for purses that I think look good, and not whether or not they have LV, CC, or MK plastered all over them.

Yes LV has always been all over the place, that's true. But it seems like I see so many more now days. Granted some could be fake, it's hard for me to spot the fake ones except I notice sometimes the handles are light colored vs the oxidized and sometimes the size of the purse just doesn't look right.

I have a friend who buys Hermes. Well I can't afford one of those!

Low class people are more human than LV handbags.

You have too much money

My bags cost between $20-$40. No need to spend more.

Default Classiness ...

... is a state of mind, not a handbag.

You forgot to say...
And too little brains to go with it! Stop being a label hoe & buy what you like. In general, any designer bag is okay as long as it does not have a monogram. Like oh-eve said, nice bags can be found at any price!

Amen! I think it's the monograms on most of the Coach purses that make them suck. I don't care if it's Coach, LV...Gucci...MK doesn't matter. The obviousness of wanting to show off that you have a certain kind of bag or clothing item screams I have low self-esteem and am a tacky person.

Meh. I am carrying a Coach bag today. I'm not into things that are obviously branded, and my bag is a berry colored leather bag in a classic shape. Not exactly the epitome of "ghetto."

It is really more about the person carrying it than the bag. Lots of people like to be ostentatious, and they carry any bag because of the logo and not much else.

If I showed you my bag, you might not even think it is Coach. They always have produced classic looking well made leather bags that are pretty timeless, and I gravitate to those, no matter what brand.

I've noticed some of the car break ins report stolen Coach bags...

I work in a lower/low income area.
