Cute! Personality definitely helps pull fun outfits off - at any age.

I'll turn 59 in 2 weeks and I wear them. If you are comfortable in jeans and like color, I say go for it. I even (((blush))) wear the patterned jeans.

Do it before you are a senior, it is even more fun.

I don't care about the color one way or the other. I just think way too many people (women and men) wear jeans when they are not flattering. It's not a style that universally suits every body, but to look at Americans, most obviously fantasize that to be the case.

My mom wears them and she is in her 60's. WHBM jeans are a great fit and flattering for lots of different sized women. I personally don't have a pair of colored jeans, but I like them. Go for it!

I think women should wear whatever they want for as long as they want.

Screw the idea that once a woman reaches a certain age she should dress in boring clothes and drab colors. As long as it flatters your body, wear what you damn well please.

Depends on the shade of purple, your size, how tight they fit and how you pair them up. A Black jacket and white blouse would be chic. Purple can be the new Black in the right shade. A darkish purple jean would be nice for lots of people; A skin tight metallic purple jean is for 19 year olds and rock stars with a nice figure.

I'm 55 and still in shape, but I don't go with any goofy trendy trends anymore. I hate animal prints, metallics, to much bling, to revealing or suggestive. Trends that are classics are ok. I bought one pair of black cigarette jeans, mostly because they fit great inside winter boots and were so soft. I'm in shape enough to wear all my pants below the waist, I never wear a high pant anymore, very uncomfortable.

If they fit and I liked my look in them, I'd wear them. I'm considerably older than 55. I assume these jeans are somewhat dark? Lands End did a catalog cover that showed a gorgeous redhead in a purple coat with red gloves. Smashing look!

The color is not the problem; your shape is. If I see a 300lbs woman wearing purple leggings I'll throw up. (Not just purple, any color, at Disney we see whitespread all over many pounds...gross).

It's how you wear it. You could make it trashy or classy.

What is "WHBM"?
